Online Notepad
A simple, free online notepad that autosaves in your browser. No sign-up.
How This Works
A distraction-free notepad that lives entirely in your browser. Your note is automatically saved to this browser's local storage as you type, so it's still there if you accidentally close the tab or refresh the page — but it isn't synced anywhere else, so it won't appear on another device or browser.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my note uploaded or saved to any server?
No — your note is stored only in this browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Will my note still be there tomorrow?
Yes, as long as you use the same browser on the same device and don't clear your browser data — local storage persists between visits.
Can I access my note from my phone if I wrote it on my laptop?
No — local storage is specific to one browser on one device. Use the download button to save a copy you can move between devices.
